Meet the Teacher

10 things about me:
  1. B.A. Elementary Education from ULM
  2. I am starting my 11th year of teaching, all at GES.
  3. I taught 2nd grade for 5 years, 3rd grade for 5 years, and will begin my time as a 4th grade teacher this fall.
  4. I love teaching kids to love READING!
  5. I was the Louisiana Elementary Technology Teacher of the Year in 2009.
  6. I also completed my National Board Certification in 2009.
  7. I was named the 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year for my school and parish.  I also was a semi-finalist for the state.
  8. I have been married to my amazing husband for 10 years, but we've been together for 15 years.
  9. We have 2 sweet boys.
  10. I love my job and seeing the joy in a child's eyes when they understand something they've had difficulty with.
